Sohil Kapadia and Parini Kapadia started Surat-based Zero Cow Factory in 2021 with the goal of revolutionizing the dairy business by creating sustainable animal-free milk proteins and dairy products. Their product is a new alternative to cow’s milk protein that has the same flavor, texture, nutrient profile, and look as cow’s milk protein.
‘We are pleased to collaborate with our investors’ exceptional setup and combine them with our skilled team, which uniquely positions us to lead the way in developing an animal-free, sustainable, and scalable global dairy 3.0,’ stated Sohil Kapadia, Co-founder and CEO of Zero Cow Factory.
Patented technology
The business has created a proprietary process for producing dairy proteins such as casein and whey without the need of animals. Zero Cow Factory focuses on animal-free casein production, which is a complicated protein that has yet to be commercialized globally. According to the company, its first product is A2 Beta-casein, which is also healthier because A1 milk protein, which causes indigestion, is absent from their product.
