Coromandel International distributes 200 drones to women’s self-help groups
Coromandel International, a Murugappa group company that provides agricultural solutions, has distributed 200 drones to women self-help groups (SHGs) as part of the Centre’s “Namo Drone Didi” initiative. The beneficiaries are from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka.
The drones were formally delivered to the women’s SHGs at a function held in Manikyammaguda, Rangareddy district, and Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. These were among the 1,000 drones virtually handed over to recipients nationwide.

“We trained the beneficiaries to operate the drones for agricultural purposes. Dhaksha Unmanned Systems, the company’s subsidiary, manufactured the drones, according to a company official here on Monday. The drones, equipped with anti-collision technology, can spray 30 acres per day.
