The program anticipates discussions on topics such as spice production, processing, value addition, quality and safety, commerce, and supply chain management in the new normal environment.
The regulatory authorities of key importing countries, as well as the Ministries of Trade and Export Promotion of G20 member countries, are anticipated to meet with the Indian Spice Industry.
‘This time, the Spices Board is organizing the World Spice Congress as a G20 event on the sidelines of India’s G20 presidency from December 2022 to November 2023, with a greater emphasis on further expanding India’s economic ties with the G20 countries,’ said D Sathiyan, Spices Board Secretary.
Meeting of regulatory agencies
Interaction with regulatory authorities from major importing nations, as well as Ministers of Trade and industry associations from G20 member countries, is expected at the WSC 2023.
‘The current WSC subject is ‘Vision 2030: SPICES’ (Sustainability-Productivity-Innovation-Collaboration-Excellence and Safety),’ Sathiyan explained.
Since the first WSC in 1990, and through 13 successful editions over the last three decades, the WSC has developed a hallowed legacy, benefiting spice stakeholders all over the world, and it is still a highly sought-after event within the global spice community. It will facilitate new commercial prospects and strengthen trade links.
