SEA will give out its first awards, ‘Shri Somalal Vyas SEA Innovation Awards 2022’.
The Solvent Extractors’ Association (SEA) of India will give out its first awards, called the ‘Shri Somalal Vyas SEA Innovation Awards 2022,’ for new ways of developing oils, fats, and products made from them that are innovative.
At its annual general meeting on September 21 in Agra, the awards will be given to students, research scholars, research scientists, academics, and members of farmers’ organizations.
The Royal Castor foundation in Sidhpur started these awards as part of its CSR (corporate social responsibility) program to promote sustainability.
In a statement, SEA said that these awards, which recognize Indians who are leaders in innovation, will make them more competitive both in India and around the world. The awards will give people a chance to stand out and make their innovative products and services known across the country and around the world.
It said that the awards will be judged on new processes, products, services, technologies, and other kinds of innovations that can help the oils and fats industry grow. They will also look at new ideas and ways of doing things, as well as results that can be seen.
There will be two types of awards: one for students and research scholars and one for research scientists, academics, and members of farmers’ organizations.
The awards come with a cash prize of 3 lakh, which will be split among up to six winners into each of these two categories. Each winner will also receive a certificate and an innovation trophy.
