The angry farmer from Bidar district bets Union Minister to win the next general election.

In the 4.02-minute audio clip, the farmer is heard asking the Union Minister to send him more fertilizer because farmers in Aurad taluk of the Bidar district have been running out of stock.

A supposed audio clip of a heated argument between Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, New and Renewable Energy Shri Bhagwant Khuba, and a farmer from Hedgapur village in Aurad taluk of Bidar district has gone viral.

In the 4.02-minute audio clip, the farmer is heard asking the Union Minister for fertilizer because farmers in the taluk have been running out.

‘Don’t ask me about fertilizer. You need to talk to your MLA and the Agriculture Department. It’s not my job to keep track of whether or not there are enough fertilizer supplies for each taluk and each farmer. ‘As Minister, I have made sure that the State has enough fertilizer,’ Mr. Khuba says.

The annoyed farmer then bets Mr. Khuba to win the next general election. ‘We the farmers will give you a proper answer at the elections,’ he says.

When Mr. Khuba says he will come to the farmer’s village, the farmer says that he, too, is ready to go anywhere, anytime. Mr. Khuba is an MP (Member of Parliament) from the Bidar district.

On Monday, the Minister was in Kalaburagi to review the meeting of the District Development and Monitoring Committee (DISHA). When asked by the media about the stock, demand, and supply of fertilizer, he refused to answer.
