In the 4.02-minute audio clip, the farmer is heard asking the Union Minister for fertilizer because farmers in the taluk have been running out.
‘Don’t ask me about fertilizer. You need to talk to your MLA and the Agriculture Department. It’s not my job to keep track of whether or not there are enough fertilizer supplies for each taluk and each farmer. ‘As Minister, I have made sure that the State has enough fertilizer,’ Mr. Khuba says.
The annoyed farmer then bets Mr. Khuba to win the next general election. ‘We the farmers will give you a proper answer at the elections,’ he says.
When Mr. Khuba says he will come to the farmer’s village, the farmer says that he, too, is ready to go anywhere, anytime. Mr. Khuba is an MP (Member of Parliament) from the Bidar district.
