Telangana farmers have joined hands to support ongoing protest of farmers in national capital. Farmers’ unions and non-governmental organisations together have come together and held a few dharnas and rasta rokos in Hyderabad, ever since the protest began in Punjab and Haryana last week.
They organised rasta rokos in several parts of the State, including in Hyderabad, on the RTC Cross roads, demanding the Centre to revoke the THREE Agricultural Acts. The police arrested the protesters and released them later.

All India Kisan Mazdoor Sabha (AIKMS), president, Vemulapalli Venkatramaiah alleged that the three Acts would make farmers suffer heavily. While addressing the dharna, he further mentioned that “The minimum support prices (MSP) are hardly close to meet the actual cost of crop production. If the MSP system goes, they would end up only in making losses.”
