An MoU will soon be inked between Two major companies Patanjali Ayurved Limited and Tea Research Institute (TRI) to collaborate on advanced research to extract several chemical compounds from tea seeds and leaves to use in its cosmetics, medicine, and wellness products.

Patanjali Ayurved Ltd Managing Director (MD) Acharya met with Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary.
Acharya is also known as Acharya Balkrishna, who is an Indian billion company Patanjali Ayurved chairman. Ayurvedic FMCG company that is involved in the manufacturing and trading of FMCG, herbal, and ayurvedic products.
Balkrishna said that the Patanjali will collaborate with the Industries and Commerce Department to promote medicinal plantations in Assam and will buy back from farmers for products manufactured in Sonitpur and Haridwar.
‘This will pave a new bridge of opportunity in the tea industry and significantly revitalize the sector,’ said Minister Patowary. He also hoped that Assam is being with a high concentration of medicinal plantations, collaboration with Patanjali would be greatly beneficial to the state and to the farmers.
