Madhya Pradesh to host wheat conclave at Indore on April 24–25

The second CEO Conclave by the Wheat Products Promotion Society (WPPS) will be held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on April 24–25. The theme of the event is “Wheat and Wheat Products: Collaborating for Sustainable Growth and Market Leadership.” More than 400 industry leaders, international delegates, and policymakers are expected to attend.

WPPS is an industry association that works to promote growth, sustainability, and innovation in the wheat and wheat products sector. It acts as a platform for people from across the wheat value chain—including millers, bakers, pasta makers, food processors, tech providers, policymakers, and global experts—to come together to discuss progress, challenges, and market opportunities.

The two-day conclave will include themed sessions on a variety of important topics. These will cover how to build stronger wheat supply chains for sustainable growth, new developments in milling and processing, innovation in wheat-based products, using AI and IoT in baking and wheat technologies, improving global trade and exports, and promoting women’s leadership in the wheat industry.

Special Sessions

The event will begin on April 24 with an opening session featuring several notable speakers, including:

  • Sunil Agrawal, President, Madhya Pradesh Roller Flour Mills Association

  • Ajay Goyal, Chairman, WPPS

  • Dean Dias, CEO, Cereals Canada (joining virtually)

  • John Southwell, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner, Austrade, Australian Government

  • Avinash Chandani, Partner, Deloitte India

  • Ramesh Chand, Member, NITI Aayog

  • Subrata Gupta, Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries

Special sessions will focus on important topics like climate-resilient wheat varieties, digital financing options for small farmers, sustainable food processing, and advanced milling technologies. A dedicated “Women in Wheat” session will be led by Sridevi Annapurna Singh, Director of CSIR-CFTRI, and will feature leading women from agriculture, research, and the food industry.

According to a media statement, the conclave will also highlight Madhya Pradesh’s strong potential in producing value-added wheat products, driving food innovation, and boosting global trade.
