“Horticulture for Viksit Bharat” is the theme for the National Horticulture Fair 2025
ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research will host the National Horticulture Fair-2025 in Bengaluru from February 27 to March 1. The event is being organized in collaboration with the Society for Promotion of Horticulture (SPH), BESST-HORT, a Technology Business Incubator ICAR-IIHR, ICAR-ATARI Bengaluru, and all of the leading development departments, institutions, and firms that promote horticulture and related sectors.
The theme of the National Horticulture Fair 2025 is “Horticulture for Viksit Bharat—Nutrition, Empowerment, and Livelihood. ” The goal is to showcase and promote nutritionally rich crops and varieties and empower needy farmers with need-based information, technologies, and programs on various aspects of horticultural crops.

The event will focus on technologies that are ideal for socioeconomically deprived communities and can boost production, income, and livelihood in horticulture crops while remaining socially compatible, economically acceptable, and environmentally safe, according to IIHR.
Highlights of the Event
The institute will display more than 250 varieties and technologies developed by ICAR-IIHR in areas such as crop production, crop protection, post-harvest management, value addition, and horticultural machinery and tools.
Key highlights of NHF 2025 include:
- Live demonstrations of ICAR-IIHR-developed varieties and technologies.
- Showcasing of urban horticulture innovations such as vertical and terrace farming.
- A Centre of Excellence on protected cultivation of different horticultural crops.
- Over 250 stalls featuring innovative technologies in horticulture and related enterprises.
Additionally, the event will host skill-oriented workshops on mushroom production, protected cultivation (including vertical farming and terrace gardening), and advisory sessions on field-based challenges in different horticultural crops. There will also be sales of seeds, planting materials, new varieties and hybrids, processed products, equipment, and machinery.
The National Horticulture Fair 2025 promises to be an enriching event, bringing together stakeholders from across the horticulture sector to exchange knowledge, explore innovations, and enhance agricultural growth and sustainability.
