On Monday, Basavaraja Bommai, the chief minister of Karnataka, said that the shepherd community would get ₹ 350 crores to help it grow economically. Later, Minister of Animal Husbandry Prabhu B. Chavan thanked him for putting the ‘Amrita Scheme’ into action.
