All the prestigious, All India National Energy Conservation Awards 2020 have been awarded to Heritage Foods, one of the leading players in the dairy business.
The company’s three processing units in Tirupati, Visakhapatnam and Bangalore have won the first, second awards and a certificate of Merit in the Dairy Sector for their processing units for successful methods of energy conservation, resulting in major energy savings and higher productivity.

At these three plants, Heritage Foods invested about ₹13 crore in energy savings and energy usage savings increased from about ₹7 crore in Financial Year 19 to about ₹9 crore in the last fiscal year. Significant investments have been made in upgrading infrastructure and innovative operating processes.
Nara Bhuvaneswari, Heritage Foods Vice Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), said the company continues to provide capital and develop technical expertise to achieve this objective.

Since 2008, the organisation has received 11 awards from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency of the Ministry of Power for Energy Conservation.
