Agricultural technology start-up Unnati plans this year to help over 3,000 farmer producer organizations (FPOs) in order to empower around 15 lakh farmers with tech-driven business solutions that would boost their earnings by enhancing their economic strength and market linkages.

Unnati enables FPOs to access financial and non-financial inputs, services, and technologies by using their collective strength and negotiating power. They will be able to reduce transaction costs and tap into high-value markets as a result of this. Unnati’s goal is to help FPOs with digital payment services including UPI, credit/debit cards, mobile wallets, and banking services, as well as output sales, loan services, brand promotion, and agro advice.
Unnati wants to help around 10,000 FPOs by the financial year 2024, affecting the lives of about one crore farmers, according to a release.

‘The FPOs will supplement farmer management, accounting, and inventory management with Unnati’s digital solutions, allowing them to expedite operations while also enhancing the overall business process. With these FPOs, we hope to give farmers a one-stop-shop where they can get digital solutions to improve their quality of life. We will be forming more of these partnerships in the near future,’ Sinha said in a statement.
