The Agricultural Fair is a colorful shopping environment, with a variety of farm produce, such as varieties of vegetables, fruit, seeds and poultry, sheep and cow. It is a knowledge festival for many farmers and entrepreneurs as many companies take opportunity to display their new innovation and technologies.
According to the sources, initially, this online digital Mela was decided to have from November 6th to 8th 2020, but at present due to the flood situation it has been postponed to organize from 11th to 13th of November, 2020 to ensure that farmers will be able to view the Krishi Mela online.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Agricultural Science – GKVK, Bangalore, Dr. Rajendra Prasad said that this time the Mela will be a fair, but not as lavish as every year it use to be. This year its going to be a simple farming fair to provide farmers with new technology, improved farming, better yields and irrigation schemes due to hardship. Totally 17 new technologies have been released this year.
As per the arrangement, only 200 farmers will be permitted to visit the Mela, which works out to 600 farmers in three days. All precaution majors will be taken and visitors will be instructed to maintain the social distance and wear face mask.
