Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister for Fisheries, has emphasized the importance of raising awareness among livestock farmers about the importance of providing quality feed to their animals.
On Friday, he opened the two-day CLFMA of India (Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers of India) national conference here, saying it was critical to investigate alternative feed options such as stubble, which is abundant in some areas. ‘It will provide a less expensive option for farmers in areas where there are shortages,’ he said.

CLFMA Chairman, Neeraj Kumar Srivastava, stated that the world faced a formidable challenge in this century because it needed to feed 200 crores more people by the end of the century. ‘You need to feed more people, and that will necessitate sustainable agriculture,’ he explained.
Discussing the difficulties
They would also require proteins, which would necessitate an increase in the livestock population. He stated that the two-day event would focus on the challenge of feeding this increased livestock population.
TRS MP G Ranjit Reddy, who is also the Managing Director of SR Hatcheries, has asked the Minister to help the poultry industry, which has received no budgetary support.
Today, the CLFMA conference will focus on the ‘Demand Supply Outlook of Corn and Soybean’ and ‘Strategies for Sustainable Animal Agriculture.’

Balram Singh Yadav (Managing Director of Godrej Agrovet), Mrugank Paranjape (Managing Director and CEO of NCDEX e-markets Limited), B Soundararajan (Chairman of Suguna Holdings), BM Masthan Rao (Chairman of BMR Group), Bahadur Ali (Managing Director of IB Group), and Rahul Kumar (CEO of Lactalis India) will participate in the discussions.
