Rural-AgriTech Hackathon will be held by Kerala Startup Mission on June 9, 2022

A hackathon will be held by the Kerala Startup Mission on the sidelines of the Rural India Business Conclave 2.0 (RIBC 2.0), which will begin in this location on June 9. The goal of the hackathon is to encourage the development of innovative technological solutions that will contribute to the expansion of agriculture.

The Rural-AgriTech Hackathon is being organized by KSUM in collaboration with the Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, which is located in Kasaragod. The event will take place over the course of five days (CPCRI).

The goal of the hackathon is to develop technologies that are useful for capitalizing on the tourism opportunities that exist in rural India and to derive technical solutions for the agricultural sector. Free registration is available for anybody interested in taking part in the hackathon, including professionals, researchers, startups, and students in the technology sector.

A cash prize of ₹50,000 will be awarded to the participant who comes up with the most innovative technology solution throughout the competition and also creates a prototype based on their idea. In addition, the winner will be given the chance to personally pitch their proposal in an effort to win KSUM’s innovation grant in the amount of  ₹12 lakh.

In addition, participants who present the most effective solutions to issues concerning agriculture, such as the production of food, will be given the opportunity to further develop their research in collaboration with CPCRI, with the ultimate goal of turning their concepts into products that are marketable.
