‘Our experts have also created an indigenous vaccine for Lumpy Skin Disease,’ Modi stated while speaking at the International Dairy Federation World Dairy Summit (IDF WDS) 2022, which is being held at the India Expo Centre & Mart in New Delhi.

He noted that cattle losses had occurred in several Indian states recently as a result of the disease.

LSD is a contagious viral disease that infects cattle and produces fever, skin nodules, and death. Mosquitoes, flies, lice, and wasps spread the disease through direct contact with cattle as well as contaminated food and water.

Parshottam Rupala, Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also attended the inaugural ceremony.
