Natural farming is essential because the cost of producing foodgrain has risen due to the usage of pesticides and fertilizers, according to NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant on Monday.
Kant also stated that India is now an exporter of wheat and rice while speaking at the NITI Aayog-hosted ‘National Workshop on Innovative Agriculture.’
‘Natural farming is the need of the hour,’ he says, ‘and it is critical that we develop scientific ways to ensure farmers can directly benefit from it, thereby improving their revenue.’

Natural farming is a technique of farming that does not use chemicals. It is regarded as an agroecology-based diversified agricultural system that combines crops, trees, and livestock with functional biodiversity.
Speaking at the event, NITI Aayog member (Agriculture) Ramesh Chand stated that there are numerous natural agricultural methods that can be used, including organic farming, diversification, and agroecological farming.
‘It’s critical to grasp the benefits and downsides of each strategy through our shared experiences,’ he continued.
