On Friday, the PHDCCI Jammu & Kashmir inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Innoterra, a Swiss-Indian food, and technology platform company, to strengthen market linkages for farmer co-operatives in Jammu & Kashmir state.
As per the statement released by Innoterra, the MoU targets to build capacity and support farmers in the state of Jammu and Kashmir through farmer cooperatives, aggregators, and Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) in order to boost exports and improve market linkage.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Baldev Singh Raina, Chairman of the PHDCCI-Kashmir (Progress Harmony Development Chamber of Commerce and Industry), and Suniti Gupta, Managing Director, and CEO of InoterraTech.
The two entities’ primary areas of cooperation include assisting FPOs in gaining access to and securing the right assistance under all Government of India schemes implemented through various departments.
The MoU also mentions envisions ensuring the sustainability and growth of cooperative exports by facilitating technology adoption, improving market access, and developing skill sets.
Innoterra will also assist cooperatives, FPOs, partners, and associates identified by PHDCCI and supported by the Department of Horticulture and Agriculture, NABARD, Small Farmers’ Agri-Business Consortium (SFAC), National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), and National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) in their exports.
Both entities will enable cooperatives and FPOs to directly participate in global trade events, such as B2B and B2C fairs held in India and abroad. They have also agreed to collaborate closely in order to achieve long-term cluster development in various areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
