IG International and Fyllo have signed a deal for precision fruit farming

Fresh fruit importer IG International is working with SaaS-based precision agriculture company Fyllo, which uses AI, ML, and IoT to grow high-quality fruits.

Under the agreement, Fyllo would help IG International’s corporate farms across the country use the latest technology called ‘Nero,’ which is a device for analyzing soil and managing irrigation. A statement said that this would push IG International toward a data-driven and real-time approach as it tries to grow the best crops.

It was said that Fyllo’s data-driven agri-science platform creates real-time farm data and insights that help farmers and growers make better decisions and boost productivity.

The statement says that Nero technology helps improve the quality of products right away, cuts down on production costs, and promises a higher yield.

Fyllo is said to have saved more than 10 billion liters of water and reduced pesticide and fertilizer use by 30%. It also said that more than 85% of Fyllo-managed farms produce export-quality crops that follow global GAP practises.

Director of IG International’s Single Family Office, Tarun Arora, said that the partnership would give Indian orchardists access to technology and could change the Indian horticulture scene for good. Arora said that it would also help Indian horticulture grow and encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship in general.

In a statement, the founders of Fyllo, Sudhanshu Rai and Sumit Sheoran, were quoted as saying, ‘We are proud to join forces with a brand that has been around for 50 years in India.’ This partnership will help farmers focus more on their customers and use more eco-friendly methods.
