ICTforAg 2022, a virtual two-day global conference will be held On March 9-10. Leading stakeholders from low and middle-income countries’ agri-tech and agri-food ecosystems are expected to convene to discuss the challenges and status of technology adoption in the sector. DAI and Intellecap are implementing ICTforAg 2022, which is funded by Feed the Future and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) via the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

Global delegates at ICTforAg 2022

According to Mukund Prasad, Associate Director at Intellecap, the event will focus on knowledge sharing, bridge building, and creating awareness among all types of stakeholders, including corporates, government representatives, researchers, academics, entrepreneurs, investors, farmers, and local NGOs, among others, to strengthen the digital agriculture ecosystem and catalyze partnerships that unlock groundbreaking solutions.

Almost 2,500 delegates from more than 100 countries are expected to attend the two-day virtual conference, which aims to foster collaboration across the digital agriculture ecosystem in order to build self-reliant communities around the world.

‘We want to use this platform to solve various problems of ICT (Information and Communications Technology) adoption in the agriculture sector, identify best practices, and disseminate them,’ said Santosh Singh, Intellecap’s Director of Energy & Climate Change and Agriculture.

The two-day event will include 21 knowledge-sharing sessions on topics such as locally-led development, climate, digital inclusion, and digital and data sovereignty.

It will also host a tech showcase with 30 cutting-edge agtech enterprises from around the world, as well as bring together farmers who have benefited from the use of ICT in four unique social sessions aimed at building a strong global community of agriculturists.
