protest

Opposing the anti-farmer law and anti labour codes and to stop privatization of public sectors like govt run manufacturing sectors (Land Reforms and APMC Act ), farmers’ and other unions across the country have protested on 26th November.

Farmer union leaders have expressed that the govt has behaved in an ironic manner unconstitutionally on Constitution Day by stopping thousands of protesting farmers who were marching towards national capital for a peaceful protest.

“The State is taking things for the granted and committing illegality by stopping farmers’  and peoples freedom in a free country,” mentioned by the members of “Samyukt Kisan Morcha”, who organised and led the Delhi Chalo protest programme on Thursday and Friday.

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha, further added that the farming community would continue protesting as lakhs of farmers are joining to head towards national capital from many states like Haryana, Punjab,  Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh despite the sever and illegal restriction by the BJP governments in UP, Haryana and other states.

Karnataka: Farmers’ organisations across the states including Bengaluru have protested in support of the countrywide agitation against the farm sector bill and the state government’s firm stand to adapt the Land Reforms Act and the  Agricultural Produce Market Committee  (APMC) Act.

CM Yediyurappa, mentioned that his govt is in for the farmers. He would travel across the state and educate farmers about the benefits of the Act in a more comprehensive way.
