A recent report revealed that foods such as sugary beverage, red and processed meat, etc., increase these heart problems especially in comparison to dietary bounty with anti-inflammatory foods.

The relevant facts have been published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC).
This study combined more than 210,000 respondents underwent a survey every four years that identified their dietary intakes.

According to a report published on the website of the Yank College of Cardiology, “The researchers used an empirically developed, food-based dietary index to gauge dietary inflammation levels based on Eighteen predefined food categories, that all together have showed the strongest association with increased dietary inflammation.

After their survey, researchers discovered that the intake of foods such as green leafy vegetables, pumpkins, yellow peppers, beans, carrots, whole grains, etc. high in antioxidants and fibre can help to fight systemic inflammation.

The researchers also suggested some inflammatory foods that should be avoided or consumed in lesser quantities.

Refined sugars: and sugar content food products may lead to inflammation in peoples body, which may further counteract the positive effects of other healthy nutrients in our body.

Refined grains: Refined grains have a finer texture which makes them a preferred option during a recipe. But in the process of grain refining, vitamins, minerals and other healthy nutrients are lost. As a result, this may hinder the anti-inflammatory effects of grains.

Fried foods: These foods include french-fried potatoes, burgers, pizzas, onion rings, etc., which are high in trans fat and are expected to cause a number of health problems.

Soda: Another food item with a higher amount of trans-fats and added sugar.

Red meat: meat is one of the primary food items that health experts recommend avoiding any health problems such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, etc. The meat is high on fat and should cause inflammation in body.
