Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council of India, hopes for a ₹470 crore export order.
The Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council of India, also known as Texprocil, hopes to get an export order worth about 470 crores ($59 million) at the recent three-day reverse buyer-seller meet in Mumbai.
At the show, Indian suppliers set up more than 50 stalls to show off yarns, fabrics, and home textiles. International buyers from more than twenty countries were invited by Texprocil to attend the event.
Manoj Patodia, Chairman of Texprocil, said that $6.4 million (₹51 crores) worth of orders were made on-site by exhibitors and visitors and that $59 million (₹470 crores) worth of orders are still being talked about.

He also said that the orders are a good sign for business in the coming months, given how the global cotton textiles market is doing right now.
Most international buyers have used the ‘China Plus One’ strategy, which has helped textile companies in India get good orders at the event.
During the show, B2B meetings were held in each area. Texprocil also said that these B2B sessions gave Indian sellers the chance to meet all of the overseas buyers.
